Pharaoh Cutting His Enemies in Pieces
Cutting in Pieces
Cutting in pieces was a common form of punishment among many nations of the ancient world. The Hebrews knew it well, as the Bible mentions when Samuel cut Agag in pieces. Some believe that he was cut with some sort of sawing instrument.

In ancient Babylon it was their custom to destroy the house of a criminal, and his very land was considered cursed forever. This custom was also known among the ancient Persians, and even the Greeks.
