Meronoth: Beit Uma. 1 Chr. 27:30; Neh. 3:7. The Meronothites were mentioned in the Bible, however, no other traces of them have yet been discovered. Two Meronothites are named in the Bible: (1) Jehdeiah, who had the charge of the royal donkeys of King David (1 Chron 27:30); and (2) Jadon, one of those who assisted in repairing the wall of Jerusalem after the return from the captivity (Neh 3:7).

Neh 3:6-7 "Moreover Jehoiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the Old Gate; they laid its beams and hung its doors, with its bolts and bars. And next to them Melatiah the Gibeonite, Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon and Mizpah, repaired the residence of the governor of the region beyond the River."
