Valley of Jezreel Nahr Jalud. descending from watershed E-ward to Jordan. West of watershed is Plain of Megiddo, q.v., which later bore Greek form of name `Jezreel', i.e. Esdraelon: some scholars include it in O.T. term 'Valley of Jezreel'. Josh. 17. 16; Judg. 6. 33; Hos. 1. 5.

Joshua 17:16 - And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, [both they] who [are] of Bethshean and her towns, and [they] who [are] of the valley of Jezreel.
Judges 6:33 - Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.
Hosea 1:5 - And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.
