The Messiah will Rise from the Dead
The Messiah will be Resurrected in His Body.
Acts 13:35-37 "Therefore He also says in another Psalm: `You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.' "For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption; "but He whom God raised up saw no corruption.
Key Points:
- As in other messianic Psalms, David speaks in sort of a mystical way of a future time, of a future ruler, and/or of a future kingdom.- This Scripture was mentioned in the New Testament as a prediction of Christ's resurrection (Acts 2:27).
- The latter part of Verse 10 must refer to someone other than the psalmist.- Paul�s argument was that David died and saw corruption and Messiah would not.
