This rock cut relief from Ivriz, Turkey depicts a Hittite fertility god holding a bunch of grapes. Vineyards and wine was very abundant in the ancient Anatolian culture around Turkey. Ancient cultures often saw wine from their vineyards as a blessing from the fertility gods. In fact in the ancient Hittite culture wine was a libation offering to please the gods.
