Silver (Redemption)
Silver came to 9,600 lbs. Throught the Scriptures, silver symbolizes
redemption. It was always used as redemption money:
Ex 30:16 "And you shall take the redemption money of the children of Israel,
and shall appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of meeting, that it may be a memorial for the children of Israel before the
LORD, to make atonement for yourselves."
It prefigures the preciousness of Christ as the ransom for sinners.
