The Kingdom of God

Jesus wasted no time explaining how His kingdom works, and that it is not a worldly kingdom that anyone can see, but a spiritual kingdom which can only be seen by being Born Again. Nicodemus had absolutely no idea how this makes sense, and what this statement meant, "born again." Jesus elaborates by explaining that everything in this world and all flesh is of this world, and none of it reveals the kingdom of God. Jesus explained that he came from heaven, as the prophets foretold about the Messiah, and that God loves the world and sent his son to save the world. He went on to explain to Nicodemus that the Messiah had to be lifted up and put to death, in order to offer salvation to anyone who believes. This is all in accordance with what the prophets had spoken.

"Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." - John 3:3

"Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak that which we know, and bear witness of that which we have seen; and you do not receive our witness. "If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how shall you believe if I tell you heavenly things? "And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven, [even] the Son of Man. "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; that whoever believes may in Him have eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." - John 3:11-18
