The Bible begins with the creation of the heavens and the earth. God created everything out of nothing, he made the world, the stars, all living things, and everything. The Bible says he created everything by speaking his word. God actually made the world in 6 days and then rested on the 7th day to establish the Sabbath Day.

Genesis 1-2 Chapter 1 God begins the creation of the heavens and the earth 1 - In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. God creates light
3 - God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God separates the waters and the earth and makes it all very fruitful
6 - God said, "Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it
divide the waters from the waters."
9 - God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place,
and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. God creates the sun the moon and the stars
14 - God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to divide the day
from the night; and let them be for signs to mark seasons, days, and years; God creates the animals
20 - God said, "Let the waters abound with living creatures, and let birds fly
above the earth in the open expanse of the sky."
24 - God said, "Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind,
livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind"; and it
was so. Man is created in the
image of God Food

everything comes to an end on the sixth day and it is all good. Chapter 2 God establishes the Sabbath day of rest
